During the Bellinzona carnival, the daughter of an important politician is found dead in the forest. Local police detective Leonardo Blum, a workaholic, divorced father, investigates. He is joined by the country’s top forensic medical examiner and by star criminologist Michele Novak. While the team follows every lead to catch the killer, another woman is found dead. The staggering similarities with crimes from the past disturb Blum, still haunted by his guilt of not stopping a serial murderer back then.
