Two Syriac families live in the small Swedish city of Södertälje, a city with a large Syriac diaspora. It is also plagued by mafia-like crime.

One family is on the verge of collapsing when the father gambles away their house and the 16-year-old son starts hanging out with a petty criminal, who open fires on the cops. In the other, the daughter returns home as a police officer after years of absence. The only Syriac female officer in the force, she is asked to investigate the local mafia, at the risk of putting herself and her family in danger. For both families, this is only the beginning of a terrible downward spiral…
